About Second Wind Life Services

Patricia Costilla, Owner/Operator

Patricia started Second Wind Life Services after a needed change in career and lifestyle for her family. After nearly 20 years in law enforcement the calling remained to help others.

"I love helping people in their journey to become who they want to be. My motto is 'no punishment, no judgement'. I want to lead each person to their peace"

Where did the name Second Wind Life Services come from? Patricia's parents growing up used to say, "just keep going, you'll catch your second wind". She feels that is a great mantra for life and perseverance; and to help instill in others during their journey for peace and achievement. It helped her throughout her life!

Brittney Pearson, Intern

Brittney is the first ever Counseling Intern for Second Wind Life Services! Welcome Brittney!

Brittney comes to Second Wind with two years of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician, where she implemented Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles while working with autistic children and their families. Through this work, she developed a strong foundation in compassionate, client-centered care and a deep respect for each individual’s unique strengths and challenges.

Brittney is deeply passionate about mental health and believes that everyone deserves a safe place to turn. She strives to ensure that no one feels alone in their struggles. In her words:

“I want you to know you have a place here. You have someone who will listen. Together, we will work through whatever you’re facing. As Dory says, just keep swimming.”

Internship students

Second Wind Life Services, LLC is embarking on a new adventure. We are in the process of becoming a group practice, with a focus on teaching.

What does this mean? Second Wind has been a solo practice with only one therapist for several years. We are now developing into a group practice! The teaching focus involves having intern students joining us over the next year! These intern students will be seeing clients and moving into their state licensure with us!
